Hehe, all my HP icons are shoebox. Heh.

Anyway, so GoF. Was really very good. I cried lots, notably, Neville and cruciatus curse, and of course Cedric. It never doesn't happen, does it? I love Cedric, but I know I'm going to be bawling my eyes out next time.

It was funnier than I expected from the previews, although it was scary. Voldemort was scary as FUCK. Even little disembodied Voldemort was scary as fuck. And the thing with the cape being put on him was awesome.

I was kind of not pissed about the pink dress at the yule ball until it was actually in the movie. Still say if something's mentioned you have no excuse, director man. However, I kind of loved Emma Watson in that scene. And the Patils and Ron and Harry were so spot on. It was a pretty funny scene.

Oh, and the slash! Ron had a crush on every male in the movie. I was amused. Barty Crouch Jr. licked Snape's wand. And Snape and Karkaroff were so GAY. Like when Harry caught them in the stores, and when Snape was staring jealously at him during the Yule Ball dancing with the chick.

One thing I didn't like completely irrationally is all the stuff they cut. But I guess more was going to be cut because it's such a long book. But it makes me worried for OotP because most things in OotP are pretty important.

McGoogles won at life.

The comparison:

I like how both the last two directors (and not Chris Columbus who SUCKED for those movies and I pray he doesn't suck as much for Rent) really fit the moods of the books with the covers. Like Cuaron seemed to take his color scheme like, directly from the cover of the book, and I think Newell did a pretty good job of that. There were some gorgeous shots in this movie.

I think I still like PoA better, because I just died of glee when I watched it. I miss the One Big Artsy Orgy of PoA. However, I squeed almost to the same degree with this one. I'm glad this is the turn the franchise has taken, or else I would regret the movies so much more.

One thing - I noticed LOTS of Harry/Hermione. And this is the book where Ron/Hermione started to rear its head about, so I was kind of disappointed that the movie didn't follow that.

I got home at 1:30 this morning/yesterday. I think my mom probably knows that....

I had to cry when Cedric died. SO SAD! Cedric is awesome.

You noticed the slash too? Whee. I was mad they cut SPEW, though. It wasn't a bad movie, it just seemed short because there was a lot cut from it. I'm thinking this director just sucked because he didn't get the idea of Ron/Hermione. I mean, they like each other. Mike Newell must be the leader of the Harry/Hermione Party or something.

Yeahhh that was an amazing movie. I got a little misty-eyed at points myself. I must say that is the first time I've left a Harry Potter movie thinking "wowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww" unable to think much else...
But I enjoyed Krum. Beaucoup. I seem to have an odd thing for Eastern European guys...

Michigan broke my damn heart today. Or, damn close to it...
