ECCE! It's U2, doing Paint it Black.

<3 teh_music

Wait wait wait, when did they start doing the Ks for Schilling? Did I, the sole Pedro fan left in Boston, allow this to occur? I think not.

Anyway, the past few days:

Well, yesterday mostly was important in two ways:

Philosophy club, first meeting officially. Actually it wasn't because no one sent an email out. Whatever. Four new members came. We scared them muchly. I'm blaming it on Jacob (not you, jacob-who-may-be-reading-this). And Masha. And Linda, poor one half of El Presidente Linda.

L'Hopital: Well, I went to see if they could fix me, but it's just some virus thing. It was very annoying because my mom works late so she told me to just go ahead. But they wouldn't do anything until she came because I was a minor. Because oh, that fucking earth shattering throat culture couldn't have been done. Ugh, hospitals.

Speaking of which, off to watch House. Which is an amazing show. Are you watching it? Because you should be, like seriously, there is no reason that you aren't. Because I've checked, and nothing that is on is better. Actually, I haven't checked, but I know I'm right.

And the official THREEDAYSOMG thing:
When you see this on your flist, quote Firefly.

Wash: Curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal!

Oh, the DINOS.

Ok, I just had the best conversation with [livejournal.com profile] witchazel and [livejournal.com profile] pyro_manical.

Basically somehow we got on how I was cheating on sara with physics, and then somehow it got to how Hazel was on math team for a day, and how they math raped her, and it spiraled from there to... many many things, including burning hazel's house down.

Anyway, the real purpose of this entry is to reflect upon my year at school. Because I saw someone in my history class do it. I'll do it pros and cons, cons first I'll end it on a good note

Cons:
-Junior year existing
-Third term math and lack thereof
- I seriously did not do homework for a term. Like at all.
- AT ALL
-Third term in general
- failing out of honors physics
- being in the worst mental state of ever
- the junior thesis, just it and it existing and me fucking up with it
- did I mention the thesis?
- let's just reiterate the thesis
- thesis
- how could you forget the thesis? (hehe, this is like the Alex section of the history movie)
- My asshole french teacher
- being a bumbling wreck
- that gets two minus bulletpoints. GAH I AM STUPID.
- realizing I lack in motivation at all and will probably failing at life
- taking big steps in that direction
- did I mention fucking up my life?
- I stopped sleeping. Like, I stopped going to bed at hours I needed to in order to get sleep
- worst. year. ever.

Pros:
+ My friends. As always, they rocked
+ I'm alive, aren't I? I believe that was a goal
+ I managed not to fail History
+ AP03 represent, yo. Best history class ever
+ I had miss bloom again, that rocked
+ PHILOSOPHY CLUB <3333
+ Philosophy outings *cough* They get their own bullet point...
+ I managed to have a crush on someone. Yay?
+ I feel like I know more people in school now. Maybe that's not true, but it feels like it
+ Mock trial, and getting revenge on those Belmont Hill kids. Grrrarrr. There's a lot to love about Lynn (this is never not appropriate. I don't care if it's a freshman mock trial reference)
+ Veronica Mars, I love you so. Lost, you go here too.
+ I managed to rebound 4th term, to end up respectable
+ Certain people, with their goals, they got accomplished
+ Actually leaving the house some
+ MORNING FREES <3 I will miss you
+ MY GODS, I almost forgot: PATS. SUPER BOWL.
+ Red
+ Sox
+ World
+ Series
+ Championship!

So, it sucked. A lot. I'm glad it's over. But I guess, looking back, I had fun. Like, all the school parts sucked, and I sucked at them. They made me upset, which didn't make it better, mostly just worse. I got in some bad places. But there were good places, and I think there were more than I usually think about. I usually concentrate on the bad, and that's, well, bad.

What I learned:
80% of school is showing up. The other 20% is passing shit in on time.
Windows as study companions
NEVER FORGET THE WILMOT PROVISO
Thoreau sucks ass.
As does Hemingway.
Gatsby still rocks, even in school.
Math class is capable of being remotely fun. Math homework is not.
Physics really does suck.

Thanks to everyone. Even the ones who won't be reading this. Y'all kept me sane.

Blah

FREEEEDOM.

No homework. Sure, I have summer reading crap blah blah blah, but essentially - no homework. I'm free. It feels soooo good.

Continuing the friday post, philosophy outing the final, after the food we sat on the common and played would you rather. Because [livejournal.com profile] pyro_manicalis awesome (see? I said you were awesome. Now get on the internet!). The other people did something else, but me, sara, sam, max, and later yasmin were all would you rathering. There were many funny moments, but the one about the heroin and the s&m sticks out in my mind because of the look on Yasmin's face.

Then I went to my dad's. Yesterday I went to a party, it was mostly small children because it was my sister's friend's mom's party. And my sister is four. But I had fun. Everything I own is drenched in citronella though. I haaate bugs. They SUCK.

Where are all my friends? I talked to Yasmin for far too long already, and she's out doing whatever it is that she does. Jacob's LEFT ME. Sara's disappeared. Starr is crying over her theoretical goldfish (sorry about that. Really). The nurges are all away....

Speaking of Starr's theoretical goldfish, radio today: "A study in the boston herald said that the pittsburgh pirates are coming to Boston this weekend to steal all our pot!"

I had a LOVELY time today. Final Grades:

English - Unknown, but A- on fourth term and B(+?) on the final
Math - B w00t w00t
History - B also w00t w00t
Physics - B+ (I was a little disappointed with the B- on the final, but really, I hate physics)
Chinese - A
French - A

Then I went to Chinatown and it was AWESOME. We ate Dim Sum and then walked around. Green Tea Pocky is DISGUSTING btw. I thought it was going to be like green tea ice cream but it just tasted like the green tea pumpkin seeds Linda has. But we bought all sorts of other Pockies etc etc so it was cool.

I was pretty bored today. So here it is, a day in the life (i read the news today, oh boy) of me.

8:52 – Okay, because school is that mind-numbingly boring most of the time, and I was bored last night attempting to write that lovely history paper that I decided to do a running diary of the day. Unfortunately, I start the day with – a cancelled English class. So the first hour of this is essentially going to have me being bored. Thus far today, I have watched a bunch of Sportscenter (Masters, Masters, Masters! Which I actually watched, I'm embarrassed to admit) and then walked to school, cried upon seeing the Herald (the banner, omg, the banner!)… And logged onto this computer. No one sent me any mail, I'm pretty sure everyone's in class. And they won't let me have LJ.
Okay, that's less running diary and more actual entry. I'll be shorter, I promise.
9:02 – When do you suppose the rings are going out? Because if I'm in French when it is slated to happen, I think I will cry.
9:13 – "One" is just an amazing song….
9:17 - 2:00! So I'll be in history. But it's on NESN, and there's no cable here, and I can't get back before three…
10:03 - Physics triple, one of the pains of life. Especially because I used to have a free for the last block.
10:10 - Everyone's talking about SATs and really freaking me out.
10:27 - Ha! Physics teacher is going to get catapulted! Fun unit, man.
10:45 - Just went outside and lifted a car up using levers. Btw, I could be heading be heading to lunch now, but I'm watching a stupid video. Craaaazy teacher man in the video. Last time he was all talking about how he played on the third rail of the T as a child. It shows.
10:55 - Ha! Someone flushed their cellphone down the toilet. That'll be not so good for the plumbing.
10:57 - Video guy is talking about driveshafts. I, of course, squeal.
11:50 - Had a math quiz. It went... swimmingly? Probably not, but I managed to figure out what 3π/5 radians was in degrees without using proportions, which I completely forgot how to use. It was a one point problem but gorram it, it was bugging me.
12:00 - Kid next to me is eating. I am v. v. hungry. Nine minutes...
12:47 - French class. Teacher is being annoying, half of the class didn't write down part of the assignment and he is blaming us. He puts it up in pieces, expects us to get it, and he refuses to change. He can't admit he's wrong, ever.
12:50 - Blech. Anyway, lunch was mucho fun. Me and friends giggled about Lost. and omg, those two were so adorable.
12:56 - Something I realized - I can actually like math okay. I have issues with the lack of explaniation and the tedium of the problems, but thinking about the weird stuff is okay. And if it's short. I have attention span issues.
1:03 - You can't see this, but now there are stick figure Shannon and Boonje gracing the page, with capes, dubbed incest boy and incest girl. These are things you need to know.
1:12 - This red card blue card game is mindnumingly boring. Why is it not time for history yet?
1:19 - My French teacher apologized and the Sox are getting their rings today. Has hell frozen over yet?
1:44 - Today we are going to decide whether to drop the bomb. And may I say - 16 minutes to ceremony, and I, I am in school.
2:12 - Almost time for non-school. I'm so continuing this in philosophy. I know you are pleased.
2:16 - Ha! I just rattled off abunch of facts regarding the Chinese Revolution, and my teacher was all, "So, where's your little red book?"
2:55 - Philosophizing. Do you think you could drown rats if you make a trail of crumbs into a pond? Ok, now everyone's looking at me strangely because I'm writing things down.
2:57 - It's creepy when people I know in real life have read my LJ. Luckily, I talk in tv-shows-he-doesn't-watch code.
3:33 - Now we are discussing Celebrity Deathmatch. Such is the way of philosophy.
3:35 - SO CUTE.
3:50 - Philosophy adjourned, day over.

So that was a strange experiment. But I do so love to rip off Simmons. And beating the shit out of the yankees is fun.

Whee.

SO. Um. Today. Today was like. COOL.

Physics was cancelled which is always good because - no physics! But also because I had a bunch of frees. And so was history, because she is so skipping school to grade our theses.

Then there was philosophy, and there was Donnie Darko. Which, whoa. Nothing better than fucked up timelines. And bunnies.

Lost 20 minutes wheee.

Had yet another day off today. It was lovely. Went with friends to see Constantine. It was alright, nowhere near as bad as I expected. Keanu, however, cannot. act. for. shit.

I love Wednesdays. Wednesdays are good days.

(Also, spring training games start this week. Awesomeness! I'm lame enough to watch Spring training games)

No. more. vacation. *clings* NOOOOOOO. NO SCHOOOL. NO MORE.

Am preparing for the philosophy club tomorrow. And using Buffy and Philosophy. SHHHH don't tell.

I've got to get up tomorrow, yet I'm not all that tired.

I don't even know why I am watching the oscars. I haven't seen most of these movies. But it's a thing, and Chris Rock is funny, and... and...

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY ETERNAL SUNSHINE.

(This is the kind of entry that only is written when I'm in the shoebox chat. Seriously, I am about 1/2 as coherent around those folks.

So Drew's in Dallas with Other!Drew. That's really, really strange. Because, you know, I told the Countinuing Story of Drew Henson sometime during the season, but it just feels like the whole thing is coming full circle. You know, if Henson wasn't such a brat then maybe Tom wouldn't have sat until the sixth round, and then Tom wouldn't have rox0red the superbowl and Drew wouldn't have been traded to Buffalo in which case he might not be going to Dallas now to take the job that Jerry Jones had out for Drew Henson.

Alex soon! Yaaaaay.

Walked around much around the Cambridge today. Treked through Harvard Square, walked around and ended up in Somerville MAGIKALLY. By walking.

DUDEOMG. I've been watching this show for three episode but I THINK THAT WAS IMPORTANT.

Eh.

So I'm left out of the whole Valentine's thing. I'm not dating and not bitter. Happy V-day to those that are either though.

It's my sister's birthday though (And, on a completely unrelated note, Drew Bledsoe's, I hear).

Watched Eternal Sunshine in Philosophy. That would be my second time. And may I say, once again, squee!

Oh, and I've decided, that since this is my junior year, this is my season two. So I'm waiting for the love spell gone awry.

(This hockey thing is very sad. It's like all the highlights we are missing. It makes me sad, and I don't even watch hockey)
