latara: (world series)

Oh, TV boyfriend, ILU.

Um, my life. So I've been mostly preoccupied with baseball, which is always a good feeling. I was a little worried after last night just because those extra inning games take a lot out of the pitching staff but we held it together today. I'm worried about Beckett - but Lester is giving out ace stuff and Daisuke is solid so over the course of a series it will be better. I still can't believe we are going to play the fucking devil rays in a fucking ALCS. The only consolation is that the yankees fans have to be crying themselves to sleep thinking about an all AL East ALCS with no yankees. Who would have thunk it?

LOL devil rays. Winning. WTF.

I HAVE NOT WATCHED HEROES YET.

House!

Not the show, haven't watched it yet because of VM but the actual House of Representatives.

I'm glad. I'm also glad that I actually voted in a winning governor's race first time around. I was so worried that I'd leave MA, they'd FINALLY get a dem in governor, and then the state I go to would elect a rep.

I'm way pissed about Prop 2, but at least the doves get a win.

So, uh, in less political news. This is a Veronica Mars rapist theory that I really think makes a lot of sense. Although I'm not ruling out "Ed Begley jr was on tv in the 80s, he has to be involved." Obviously that link includes spoilers for tonight.

VM spoilers )

I'm getting tired of the people I've seen saying, "stop being all, it's the end of the world." Well, I happen to know a few people that are very close to me that sincerely do believe that it's the end of the world. Well, they didn't necessarily believe it wouldn't happen if Kerry was elected, but that it would be later. It's their belief, they have just the same right to hold at as you people believing it's not the end of the world. Who knows? Just because the world is here doesn't mean it won't end.

I tend to not believe this person, but I respect them for thinking it.

At least the red sox won. Now, when I inevitably die in my cell in gitmo, I can be fufilled.

(Joke, people! Joke!)

Enough of that - I have an illness, which is obviously way more important.

(Again, joke!)

It's really making me sad because I'm not sick enough to stay home (temp=99.1), but I probably should anyway but I haaate missing school as there's always make up work and make up work.

I should really get started on homework, but I am unmotivated. I do need to hurry though, I have to go to mock trial (case materials! I love case materials!) at 7....

You know, today has been an overall crappy day, but you know what made me want to cry the most out of all of it?

"Obama's Moment: The Illinois Democrat and covention keynote speaker will become the third African-American in the Senate since reconstruction."

That's just sick. Third!

(btw, I looked it up and there have been 5 (counting Obama) in total, two during reconstruction... really just disgusting)

Now that this has happened, we are going to hear a bunch of crap of uniting behind the president.

Don't listen.

They want us to unite so they can push us around, just like they always do. There needs to be dissent. Lots of damn dissent. We were united after 9/11, and poof! three years later and we are in two wars.

We are going to need protests, make it fucking hard for him to push through his policies. They are not going to comprimise, we shouldn't either. We didn't win back the presidency, but we've got to win back our voice.

(Note: I'm talking about the politicians here, I know there are lots of Bush voters and I won't be mean to them, that's just not the way of the democracy)

Gahhhhh

I am so scared... and I can't vote and it's pissing me off intensely.

The electoral vote map I look at has it 262-261 Kerry, which is better than it has been. But then there's something about when the winner doesn't have enough electoral votes...

If you haven't noticed, I want Kerry to win. A lot. Desperately. Because Bush is no good to me and I will never ever feel differently.

Baseball has totally taken over my life/journal and thus I didn't have all the time to panic. I mean, I was still paying attention but I was probably better off with some sort of distraction, you know?

I said awhile back that it would come down to who could steal the most... I really wonder what's going on behind the scenes tonight...

I hope everyone that could voted, because I reeeeally want to. I can live vicariously through all of you (well, the Kerry supporters anyway ^.~)

HEHEHE.

I love Celebrity Jeopardy. It's really just the best thing ever.

I wish I could stand the debates, I really do. But I've had all the bullshitting I can for a week or so. He just talks and he lies, and the other ain't that much better.

And the Valium-induced hypnosis, it's insane.

"They are human beings. It may not seem like much, but for this administration, that's a huge policy shift."

I <3 the Daily Show.
latara: (yum <3)
I want to vooote >.>

*laments the voting age*

Not like it matters, Kerry's gonna win, but I still want to.

I'm kinda-sorta doing my lab report. I should work harder, I really should.
