Oh, TV boyfriend, ILU.

Um, my life. So I've been mostly preoccupied with baseball, which is always a good feeling. I was a little worried after last night just because those extra inning games take a lot out of the pitching staff but we held it together today. I'm worried about Beckett - but Lester is giving out ace stuff and Daisuke is solid so over the course of a series it will be better. I still can't believe we are going to play the fucking devil rays in a fucking ALCS. The only consolation is that the yankees fans have to be crying themselves to sleep thinking about an all AL East ALCS with no yankees. Who would have thunk it?

LOL devil rays. Winning. WTF.

I HAVE NOT WATCHED HEROES YET.

Ok, Pedro, dress up time over. Get back in your right uniform.

This is SO WEIRD.

Bee tee dubs, my mom is there but she only had one ticket. Sad me :( However, if I was there I would have missed the amazing Pedro musical montage which involved Evita. Yes.

Pedro is my fave :(

It doesn't get much better than this, nope.

I love my silly overblown rivalry.

I also love boos for Johnny Damon.

And I love that Dougie is back catching Wake like he should be.

Oh man.

I just miss the feeling.

I don't feel anything! Nothing different from any other game with two teams I don't care about!

I can't even manage to hate the Steelers enough right now!

This makes me cranky.

hehe

Okay, maybe it makes me a horrible person, but Peyton losing is softening the blow just a little
latara: (tommmmm)
I'm really upset.

The game was all wrong and I'm really upset. Like, these things don't happen to the Pats in the playoffs. If the offense showed up at all it would have been no contest. The Denver offense couldn't move for shit, so instead we just kept handing it to them on the 1yd line and that was bad. And I couldn't tell if my coach was homicidal or going to cry. It pretty much sucked.

I was lying in bed trying to figure out if this or the Grady Little game was worse. It was that bad. I guess the Grady Little game was worse, but the fact that I was thinking about it at all...

I just thought when it happened, we would go out respectably. We didn't. I don't accept that.

All the players looked so shellshocked and just so sad. I just don't want to see them like that.

(Selfishly, I'm angry because I don't think the NFC has a chance and I legitimately HATE all the AFC teams that are left. Ironically, I think I hate the Broncos least of all but I also think they don't really have a chance considering they had to wait for us to hand them the game to even score at all)

I knew it was going to happen, and I had a strong feeling that it would be this year, I just wish we had missed the playoffs. Despite all the injuries, I don't feel like this was a lost season like 02. We blew our opportunity.

I really don't want to believe it's over, but I can't help it right now.

Hey, at least we didn't lose to the Colts.

blah blah

My sister (5 yrs): Which one is Tom Brady?
My dad: He's not playing in this game
My sister: *whine* but you said Tom Brady was playing tonight!
Me: He's playing later, honey...

also, she thinks Asante Samuel is a "very strange name"

we start 'em early here in my family.

Oy.

I'm so scared.

Because no one three-peats.

(Congrats, [livejournal.com profile] kajouka! This is like huuuuge for you guys... 35 years it's been?)

But this game, it was something else. Vince Young, of course. It was nice to see him not running all over us like. Also he is so cute with the dancing on the sidelines. Reggie was quieter, but damn, the way he runs is so insane, I've rarely seen anything like it.

I felt like I should do one more post before it is 2006.

I guess the most important thing about this new year's is that for the past 4 years, I've been looking at everything denoting my graduating year as 2006. And now it's 2006.

I've been getting introspective about a lot of things, but really, I don't know what's left of 2005 to analyze. I've been through it over and over.

There were definite.... arcs.

There was the second half of junior, which sucked ass. BLECH. Then there was summer and then there was the first half of senior year. I kind of hate school.

I had a crush. For the first time. I can't tell if it was not at all what it was cracked up to be or more or worse.

I dunno. I feel like a year is too long to box into "good" or "bad". I think I actually had more fun than in previous years. Like, I had a LOT of fun. I went out so much more than I used to. And I had fun with friends, and at Prom, etc etc etc.

Hey, my friends get along! That's nice!

Interestingly, nothing really happened until February. Like I remember nothing until we won the Superbowl. And then I failed the Junior thesis. And then I got that crush. THAT'S when the new year started.

And Veronica Mars. I'm glad I started to watch VM. Because I wouldn't have any Aaron Echolls jokes, and my life would be so much worse.

Randomly, I was listening to my ipod, and All Things Must Pass came on, and I was thinking of once when I was listening to it, and how it's such an optimistic but real song, not annoyingly optimistic, because all things must pass. And the Elevation came on, and completely different happy buttons were pressed.
latara: (Default)
Blech that sucked.

Like seriously, we played bad. The officials were on that special kind of crack. Even the announcers were saying it. That at the end could have been pretty spiffy though.

Wasted season....... Hopefully next year they come back injury free and with revenge on their minds. And hopefully they let me in to their school. Especially with all the pain I've been through with their football team.

I have an essay to write, but I had to share this, because I have FEELINGS, goddamnit.
here's looking at you, kid )
Five year grace period.

Five year grace period.

So, how bout them colts losing, eh, eh? And that was a great Pats game on Saturday.
latara: (gof neville)
Okay, this day was awesome, in that oh-fuck-now-i-have-to-do-all-that-homework sort of way.

So first I went with Li-wen and Lily to Harvard Square to film our chinese movie. Um, I totally forgot that I agreed to do that and that threw my "do my homework before midnight" thing WAAAY off track. But oh well, it was school work technically and way more fun. They are ickle sophomores and cute and I like them :)

After they left I was bored, so I walked around the Harvard Campus as I do because sometimes I get tired of the actual shopping area. I'm there a lot. But it was really cold and mean old Harvard people don't let people in their libraries. So I went back and remembered that when we were at crazy dough's earlier, they had the colts/chargers game on, and that I should check on that. So I went up, there were like 5 minutes left, and the COLTS WERE LOSING! So I was all, w00t, yay, I'll watch Peyton Manning cry. Because I missed that dearly. Anyway, so I watched the end of the game with these two middle aged couples who I spoke to.

Then MashaLinda came and then Yasmin came and we went off to the Yule Ball <3. Oh, Harry and the Potters. There were a few too many non-Harry and the Potters bands, but everyone was just so happy and energetic and it was good. Very good. And if you haven't heard Draco and the Malfoys, you so should, they were pretty awesome.

Um, plus THE COLTS DIDN'T GO UNDEFEATED!!!!

THE COLTS LOST!!
latara: (tommmmm)
I made a Pete Carroll joke on my USC app.

Clearly it was too good to pass up.

Also, I'm far too much of a smartass for my own good.

I love my team. I'm glad the defense showed up. I'm glad Tom is pretending he's alright.

List 20 fannish blahdeeblah sometime in my life, blah, guess my favorite character kthx.

1. Buffy
2. Angel
3. Firefly
4. Veronica Mars
5. House
6. Lost
7. The X-files
8. Law and Order
9. The West Wing
10. Harry Potter
11. Lord of the Rings
12. Star Trek: TNG
13. Arrested Development
14. Pirates of the Carribbean
15. Sailor Moon (hellz yeah)
16. Cardcaptor Sakura
17. Magic Knight Rayearth
18. Charmed
19. Princess Mononoke
20. Kill Bill
21. Desperate Housewives (It was pointed out to me that I forgot it, but I couldn't very well cut anything)

Wow, that is the single most random order ever. Um, anyway, go.
latara: (tommmmm)
Things I don't like:

a) SNOW.

b) when the rose bowl is the BCS title game.

c) when the rose bowl is WRONG

*bows* that is all.
latara: (tommmmm)
So the Patriots need to stop doing this. THE TRUST IS GONE. THE. TRUST. IS. GONE. In this incarnation, my heart can't handle your dilly dallying.

Anyway, we won. At least we can do something. Sometimes. Oh joy, we can beat Gus Ferouette. I'm so secure.

Grr, I have work like whoa. I hate school. Not happy, is I. However, I get out after French tomorrow. It'll be nice to chill before philo.

My subconsious has adopted Ani DiFranco metaphors as it's own. Last night's dream, I was totally like, "wow, way to follow a song exactly, lameass subconsious."

Eerie.

October 27, 2005.

It's been a year. Have fun curse-breaking, White Sox. I'm happy for them. Everyone should shed their baggage! It's lovely.

Poor Cubs fans. Even the White Sox can win one now.

Anyone have Sixteen Military Wives by the Decemberists they can ysi or something? Am too lazy to go full out with teh_music right now.

ETA: Got it. Also, Mike Tice:

"Sometimes, you wake up and you say, 'Man, I didn't have anything to drink last night. I didn't have anything fattening. So why do I want to puke?' Then you realize, 'Oh, that's right.' You start remembering what's going on in your life." -- Vikings coach Mike Tice

Lots has happened since we last spoke, oh livejournal.

Most of it SUCKED. Sports-wise at least. Which is really all that matters.

Yeah, Michigan lost on a last second field goal to Minnesota, which was sad, and then that baseball team, what are they called? OH I DO NOT KNOW.

Luckily, the Patriots remembered how to play football. Stressfully. Oh well, they won, and it kept me off of a ledge.

I honestly don't remember anything else. I'm sure it was exciting.
