Don't blame us if we ever doubt you...

I've cried a couple times over sports (This only counts real ones. There have been more minor tears):
1997 (I think?) playoffs: It was the year after the disasterous super bowl, and I was just getting into the Pats. I guess I thought we would get into the superbowl every year...
2001, 2003: Yes, we won these superbowls. But it was too close, championships are just too emotionally charged.
2003: Aaron. Fucking. Boone. Grady. Fucking. Little. I will never recover
Last sunday: Pats almost messing up the chargers game, Sox messing up...
I think I might have cried a little over the 1997 ohio state game... which we won...
Anyway, I don't even know what I would do if the Sox ever got into the series. Nervous breakdown, I'm guessing. If they ever won.... best feeling of relief EVAR. That's what it would be too, relief. Barely happiness for awhile. Everyone thinks we like being cursed, gives us character, but it's just nervous and tensifying.
Contrast that with the Patriots. We expect them to win. Perhaps it's overcompensation? I certainly don't expect us to win all our games. I'm sitting waiting for the other shoe to drop. But it hasn't. It. just. won't. drop.
The red sox... I won't sound confident by saying this, I hope... these wins, they're patriot-esque. In the fall behind come back sort of way. In the will to win sort of way. But the fact of the matter is, the red sox are not the patriots. Terry Francona is definately no Bill Belichick. Win two world series in three years and then we talk.
But first, we have to win one. That's the hard part. First we've got to win this game, and save my mental state.
(I had an out you know. My parents are from Detriot. I coulda been a tigers fan.)
