lataraHave returned from island. Pretty island, nice people, but I didn't go to any of the christian retreaty type things. Fairly calm with the family (miracle of miracles!), so that's all of the good.
They had no showers. I had a very interesting experience with a bucket and a pitcher of water and my waaaaay too long hair trying to wash it.
Brother and I are reading Harry Potter. Go us! He especially enjoyed Vernon trying to avoid the Hogwarts letters. Last time we read Harry was on the train, so yay. Luckily he doesn't recognize a spoiler when he sees one, so when I referenced Ron's plot point, random Sirius mention, the coolness of cat!McGoogles, he didn't seem to notice.
I'm very disturbed by the slash I'm finding in the summer reading. Unfortunately, it's so there.
There was a jigsaw puzzle on the island I lament to not finishing. But everyone did all the easy parts, so I was left with the trees, grass, and next to impossible sky.
Really cool being around the ocean when the storms were coming in. Waves~! I <3 waves.
